Young Adult Ministry
According to Dr. George Woods, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, there are over 50 million people between the ages of 18-35. As one of the largest populations in America, the young adults are faced with many demands in school, work, family, etc. The Young Adult Ministry was started to provide support and bring together young adults to fellowship and allow God’s word to minister and help them with the demands of daily life. The current leadership team is Dimitra Astwood and Jeslie Rivera.
The Young Adult Ministry is open to anyone that is over the age of 18. Our vision is to help young adults experience the love of God and grow in a relationship with Him. By developing an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father, each of us will discover our purpose, unlock our destiny and initiate changes within our life. Psalms 32:8: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”
Ministry Objectives
- To help young adults become connected to a community of believers
- To help young adults grow in their relationship with God
- To help young adults recognize their spiritual gift and purpose in life
- To care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of one another
- To reach out to our community with the love of Jesus Christ
