Bible Study
At Calvary Assembly of God, the bible studies consist of various topics. The study of the Scriptures cannot be replaced with anything else. Bible study is a commandment of Jesus. John 5:39, gives us this command in the words of Jesus Himself saying: “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and they are they which testify of Me.”
Jesus also gives us the reason we commit doctrinal errors. Mark 12:24, quotes: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Are you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?”
These are only two verses of many which give us great reason and purpose to search the Scriptures.
So as we study our bibles, we are building ourselves a foundation of faith. Romans 10:17, tells us: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
