History
On September 13th 1959, Pastor Charles W. Eldon founded Calvary Assembly of God of Hollywood in a store building at 66 Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
Because of the goodness and faithfulness of God, a new facility was erected in 1962, located at 300 North 62 Avenue in Hollywood, Florida.
The goal of the church from inception until present has been to raise and equip a congregation of believers to reach and win the lost for Christ. The church has not deviated from its goal. Calvary Assembly of God has had and continues to have a great impact in our community and world.
Obeying the call of God, many have gone out from the church as missionaries, church leaders, and some, to become pastors.
In May of 2006, Pastor Clarence Jennings joined the pastoral staff at Calvary Assembly of God to assist founding pastor, Pastor Charles W. Eldon, in various ministries of the church.
On February 21st 2009, Pastor Eldon was called home by God, to receive his reward for many years of faithful service.
Pastor Clarence Jennings remains on staff as the senior pastor to continue what God has started. Calvary Assembly of God is experiencing much growth as a result of many years of prayers.
